About the Venue

The concert takes place at Centanni, located at Canal Street #34 in San Miguel de Allende's historic center. The venue operates as a multi-faceted entertainment space featuring a rooftop terrace with DJs and vinyl, a dedicated music hall, and a piano bar. Centanni offers nightly live music from 10 PM to 1 AM, making it a cornerstone of the city's cultural nightlife.

San Miguel de Allende's Jazz Tradition

San Miguel de Allende has long been a destination for international artists and musicians. The city hosts the International Jazz and Blues Festival, one of the longest-running festivals of its kind in Mexico and Latin America, now celebrating over 30 editions annually each November. This deep-rooted jazz tradition has made the city a natural home for performers like English.

The UNESCO World Heritage city, designated in 2008 for its 16th-century Spanish Colonial Baroque architecture and role in Mexican independence, has earned international recognition for its cultural offerings. Travel & Leisure magazine readers voted San Miguel de Allende the best city in the world in both 2017 and 2018, citing its arts scene, live music, traditional culture, and gourmet food.

The City and Its Cultural Scene

Located in Mexico's Colonial Highlands region approximately four hours northwest of Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende sits at 6,000 feet elevation and enjoys around 330 days of sunshine annually. The city's thriving expat community, comprising approximately 10% of the population, has been drawn by a vibrant arts scene that has attracted artists for over 70 years.

The venue sits within the UNESCO historic district, which encompasses 64 blocks and includes La Parroquia, a 17th-century cathedral famous for its neo-Gothic design, located near the Jardín Principal just a short walk from Centanni.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the performance are available at 600 pesos in presale or 700 pesos at the door. The intimate setting at Centanni's music hall offers attendees a rare opportunity to experience English's vocals and storytelling in a close-quarters environment.
