Night shift leadership and hourly pay

Dunkin' and Baskin Robbins lists an in-person night shift leader position in Nogales, ZIP code 85621. Along with supervising the night crew, the employee would take orders, operate the register, work the line and handle cleaning. The posting offers an employee discount and a flexible schedule in a fast-paced workplace; its employment type is categorized as "Other."

The advertised $15.50-to-$17.50 hourly range is above Arizona's 2026 statewide minimum wage of $15.15, the legal pay floor for the listed hourly roles. According to OnPay, that minimum applies from January 1 through December 31, 2026. It rose from $14.70 in 2025, passing $15 for the first time on January 1, 2026.

A further increase to $15.65 an hour is scheduled for January 1, 2027. The Arizona Daily Star reports that the adjustment is based on a 3.4% August-over-August rise in the national Consumer Price Index reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The tipped minimum would increase to $12.65, with a maximum $3 tip credit. Those rates are not yet in effect; the 2026 rate remains in place through December 31.

Panda Express assistant manager

Panda Restaurant Group is seeking a full-time assistant manager for Panda Express in Nogales. The posting, labeled "Assistant Manager (Indeed Event)," mentions bonus opportunities but does not disclose base pay.

Responsibilities span store operations, hiring, employee coaching and guest service. The position includes at least three weeks of paid management training, meals during shifts and opportunities to advance into higher management.

For eligible full-time employees, the listed benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off and a 401(k) with an employer match.

Chipotle crew work and benefits

Chipotle Mexican Grill's Nogales crew member listing describes full-time work, while also mentioning some part-time options. It calls the pay competitive without specifying an hourly rate. The role offers a chance to develop kitchen skills, and the posting says most of the company's managers began as crew members.

Education assistance covers up to 100% of tuition for select degrees or provides $5,250 a year. The listing also advertises free meals, paid time off and promotion opportunities.

Chipotle's careers page provides more detail about hourly-crew benefits. Employees can qualify for a quarterly bonus worth one week's pay when their restaurant performs well, plus an additional month's pay if that performance continues throughout the year. A 401(k) match becomes available after the first year of service.

The meal benefit covers an entrée, a drink and a side for each shift. Employees also receive 24 hours of sick time and can accrue up to 40 vacation hours annually, with vacation accrual beginning after one year of service.

The Nogales employment backdrop

According to the Southeast Arizona Governments Organization, Nogales has Arizona's largest land port of entry on the U.S.-Mexico border. Its population was about 19,994 in 2025, within a Santa Cruz County population of 51,324.

The Nogales Economic Development Foundation puts the greater Nogales fresh-produce trade's direct annual economic impact at more than $303 million, with more than 2,500 jobs.
